Toddler Baking - Flap Jacks

So here is the first of many new series for you to (hopefully) enjoy. Toddler Baking! Mia and I love baking together and I love seeing her face and how excited she gets about joining in. I thought it would be fun to share with you over the next few weeks a range of things we bake and cook together. Every Sunday Morning for the next six weeks I will post a new toddler baking post. I would love to know what you think! :)

This week Mia and I made Flap Jacks.

Ingredients:
175g Butter
175g Soft Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Golden Syrup (this was much more of a guess for me!)
250g Porridge oats

Method:
1. Pre Heat the Oven to 150°c and cover the tin with baking paper.

2. In a large saucepan , melt the butter and sugar together then add the golden syrup. - While I was doing this I gave Mia a bowl of the dry oats and a spoon and she had loads of fun.

3. Remove from the heat and stir in the porridge oats.

4. Pour into the tin and smooth the top down pressing it into the edge. - Mia helped me push down with a spoon.

5. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until the edges are brown and golden.

6. Place on a wire rack, and allow to cool for 10 minutes before lifting out of the tin using the baking paper and slicing.

What do you think? Have you tried it out? If you have we would love to see your finished result.

Thanks for Reading.

Lots of Love
