Mia's Must Haves!

Good Evening Lovelys! How is everyone?
When this post actually goes up we will be on holiday! YAY! A nice little week away to Norfolk, Myself, Mia & My Mum! :)
I wanted to do something slightly different for this post! So I decided on showing you some of Mia's favourites! :) A bit of a Mama & Baby post!

E45 Junior Foaming Bath Milk
This bubble bath is great! Mia went through a stage of getting really dry skin when she was around 6 months old. It was on her legs and tops of her arms. I only noticed this when I was using all of the night time lavender products, so I decided to get something a bit more gentle and moisturising for her skin. Thats when I found this, it has two liquid layers init which you have to shake up before using and then the smallest amount goes really bubbly. The best thing is after a couple of weeks using this her skin was so much better! :)
Jelly Cats Bunny Rabbits
Mia got brought one of these small bunny's when she was born by a family member, and slowly it seems to of multiplied! Lol As you can see she has them in a variety of different colours and patterns!   This is only some of the ones I could get hold of! Mia will carry these around all day if given the chance to, these also meaning ALL of them at the same time! (Both hands full, one or two held in her mouth and sometimes even kicking one along as well!)
Pampers or Huggies Wipes &  Pamper Nappies Size 4+
I have used Pampers Nappies since the day I brought Mia home from those tiny new born ones! We do sometimes switch between the Active Fit and the normal Pampers Baby Dry but always Pampers for us. I know that some of the other cheaper brands are just as good but I would just rather stick with what we know.
I have been getting wipes from Costco's when I do a trip there so I just tend to pick up whatever is on offer at the time so these do vary. However I have a cupboard full right now!
Rubber Ducks
Rubber Ducky's are just a must in the bath, if nothing else these will keep Mia entertained :) We have a wide range of them! Lol

I hope you enjoy this post, I know it is a little bit different from what I would usually do!
Thank You For Reading!

Spinach Pesto Spaghetti!

Hello Lovely's,
I thought I would do something a little bit different for you. Normally I would bake and things but this time I thought I would do you a main meal. It is one of my favourites and Mia's too! :) She makes a huge mess with this but loves it so much!
This recipe will Serve 4, and will only take around 15 minutes to make and cook.

What you will need:
400g Spaghetti
100g Baby Spinach
3 Tbsp of Green Pesto
140g Frozen Peas
150ml of Single Cream
Small Bunch of Basil Leaves
50g Parmesan
Food Processor

How to make it:
1. Cook the Spaghetti as instructed on the pack.
2. Boil the kettle and place the peas and baby spinach into a bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave for about 3 minutes, until peas are tender.
3. Drain them well and add the peas and spinach to the food processor along with the basil, pesto, cream and parmesan. Whizz them all up to make a smooth sauce.
4. Drain the pasta, (you can keep a little of the pasta water incase you need to make the sauce less dry, if need be) and return it to the pan.
5. Add the sauce and return to a low heat for a couple of minutes until the sauce clings to the pasta. If it looks dry add little of the pasta water you held back. Season to taste and serve with extra parmesan.
6. Now enjoy! :)
Let me know what you think?! It is so tasty and quick and easy to throw together, great when you are super busy!

Thank you for reading!

August Favourites!

Hello Lovely's! It has come back round to that time of month again, it's favourites time! :) I can not believe how fast thing year is flying past it really is completely crazy! Anyone else feeling the same!?
So here you go check out a few of my August favourites!
VO5 Nourish My Shine Shampoo & Give Me Moisture Conditioner.
My cousin suggested that I should try this range out, mainly because they were on offer in Superdrug but also because they had made her hair fell super soft and silky and she is like me and has very long hair to contend with! The great thing is that it is a kinda of mix and match they
do different conditions and different shampoos depending on your hair types and you can mix them about. I went for the My Shine Shampoo as it was for damaged hair and the Give Me Moisture Conditioner as it was for dry hair, so I thought these were a good mix! :) I am really impressed with it as well my hair has felt so nice since I have been using them and they aren't too heavy for my hair either!
Essie Nail Varnish - Sand Tropez.
As you may already know I REALLY REALLY love all of the Essie Nail Varnish range, I find they go on so smoothly and aren't ever thick and gooey! They dry really fast and last extremely well. I came across this colour and thought it was just right for something a little different but really neutral still. What do you think?
DKNY Be Delicious.
Since I have had Mia I haven't really worn any perfume at all but I have recently been getting back to my old self again and I completely forgot about this little beauty I had in my draw! Oh my it smells so gorgeous. Fruity and slightly musky all in one lol. That is more than likely completely off the mark but that is how I would describe it! lol I have been wearing it most days and find it lasts really well too.
BOMB Cosmetics - Bath Bombs.
I was out in town and decided I was going to treat myself to a bit of a bath time pampering! I found these, Ok so they aren't quite LUSH bath products but they are lovely! I got Mandarin Sunset, Surreal Appeal, and Apple & Raspberry Swirl. All of them smell edible! :)
Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser.
You may know that I really do suffer with my skin, even more so since I have had Mia. The main reason I picked this up to start with was because it was Oil Free! I thought well that has surely got to help even a little. It feels really nice on your skin once you have rubbed it in and I have really noticed that my makeup doesn't get as shiny during the day as when I have used some of my other moisturisers. Plus it is super cheap! :)

Do you have a must buy for me to try out?

Saucy Stationary Finds!

Hello Lovelys,
Hope you are well? How has this week been treating you? Did some of you head back to school today?
I thought this would be a perfect time to talk about one of my favourite things! Those people that know me, know I have a bit of a thing for stationary of all kinds, books, notepads, pens, pencils, you name it. I am obsessed with buying cards as well, have been for sometime now. I even have a little box of cards under my bed, you never know when you might need one! :)
I wanted to show you a few of my finding from this week.Yes ok, I did end up spending quite a bit of time in Paperchase. Let's have a look! :)
I love this case, I spotted it almost as soon as I walked in to the shop. It's a small neat pencil case that would easily fit into your handbag but just big enough to be able to put the essentials into it. :) I needed a little case so that I didn't have pens rolling around in my draws anymore! (Of course I did!) Lol I couldn't say no to this is beauty, I mean look at the cute mint green colour with the white dots!
I saw this on a very popular you tubers video the other week, and when I saw it in person I just had to buy it! As you can see it is from the same range as the pencil case above! It's a note pad for on your desk, (not that I actually have a desk) and it looks kinda like a mouse mat but of course it is lots of paper! :)
The next two items are the only things which I didn't buy from Paperchase!
I brought this to try and help me organise my daily life a bit better so I can actually remember the little things that I need to do! I still tend to have quiet a lot of baby brain moments, although I am not really that sure if I can blame that for much longer....Can I? :) It has lovely thick paper pages and a small hole so it can be hung up on the wall for all to see! I will let you know if it actually helps me get organised at all or not!
Isn't this tin of cards just so cute! You get the four different cards in it and four of each design. They are all blank inside but on the back of each one is the recipe for the cupcake which is shown on the front of the card! I loved this so much! :) They also come with envelopes.
Yes before you say it, these again are from the same range as the case and the notepad! They are a pack of three exercise books, they have lined pages and a plain front page just inside the cover. I wanted some of these so I could start being organised (see I am really trying!) with writing things about money, and my other fun on the side challenges I have going on! Lol! (Ok that maybe me trying to sound slightly exciting!)

What do you think? Have you seen any other stationary, anywhere you think that I might like? Please let me know if you have! :) Do you have any stationary favourites?

Mighty Mini Victoria Sponge Cakes!

Hello Lovely's, How are you all? I've missed you all!
:) It felt really strange not having to post last week! But again I hope you all really enjoyed Imogen's post! As I didn't post for you last week myself I thought I would throw in a little post mid-week for you! :)
I have been to Lakeland's and treated myself to some cute cake tins, I got a mini sponge cake tin and a mini loafs tin as well, they make such nice sized cakes! Both of them have little pop out bottoms so it is really easy to remove the cakes once they have slightly cooled! They are really good quality tins and are pretty heavy.
So here is a new tried and tested recipe for you.
What You Need:
175g Unsalted Butter
175g Caster Sugar
3 Large Eggs, Beaten
2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
175g Self-Raising Flour
Pinch of Salt
Whipping Cream
Icing Sugar for dusting
Strawberry Jam
How to do it:
Firstly Pre-heat your oven to 180.C/350.F, then grab your cake tin and grease it with butter to stop the cakes sticking. Next, cream the butter and caster sugar together until the mixture is pale and light. Slowly add the beaten eggs, mixing well each time. Add the vanilla extract and mix again. Stir in the flour and salt into the bowl and fold in until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
Divide the mixture into the cake tin and level it off at the top.
Pop it in to the oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden and it bounces back on the top of the cakes.
Allow them to cool for a few minutes before trying to remove them from the cake tin, then place onto a wire tray to completely cool.
Meanwhile, whip up the whipping cream until thick! (If you are doing this by hand it could take sometime to get to this stage.) Once the cakes are cool, you can cut them all in half. I spread a layer of the jam over all of the cakes and then covered in a thick layer of the whipped cream.
I piped the whipped cream on to the cakes but you can just spread it with a spoon if you want to, I was just trying to be fancy! lol :)
All that is left to do is add the top half on to the cakes and sprinkle lightly with icing sugar to finish them! :)
Now enjoy eating them all, with a nice cup of tea and your feet up!
These cakes need to be kept in the fridge because of the fresh cream in them, and consumed fairly quickly. (Shame! Lol)

I have entered these Mini Victoria Sponge Cakes in the Great Summer Bake Off Challenge! I would love it if all my readers and viewers would put a vote in for them and retweet for me! Please :)

Thank You Very Much For Reading!
Lots of Love

P.S I have just discovered the voting page above only works on anything NON-mobile. I can't get it to appear on my mobile unfortunately but I would love it if you would still vote in all ways possible to you. (Twitter, Facebook & Pinterest.)
Thank You!
